Lake Tekapo, New Zealand – June 2016 – Exciting Update

The spring and summer months have brought a heap of visitors to the springs, all ready to enjoy a bit of recreation and relaxation. The new addition of the cooler pools & kid’s aqua play area proved to be a smash hit with both visitors and locals alike, giving the leading tourist attraction a big jump in numbers.

With the changing of the seasons brings even more exciting news from Tekapo Springs. Their newest addition, the #MyTekapoSprings Photo Platform was launched early this month to coincide with Tekapo’s InstaMeet and Travel Showcase where they partnered with Christchurch & Canterbury Tourism and the social media tourism website Queenstown to Kaikoura. Aleisha Duncan, the Online Marketing Manager for Christchurch & Canterbury Tourism believes that providing an outlet for visitors and businesses to connect online is a great opportunity to establish better relationships.

“This has been the fifth InstaMeet CCT has held in Canterbury and the social community we are building through these events is proving invaluable to us.  Having passionate social advocates gather in our region to produce beautiful content is something that plays a big role in our online marketing strategy. Initiatives like the photo platform from Tekapo Springs, are brilliant for encouraging visitors to photograph their experiences and share them with the world.”
